The Xolos of Tijuana vs Cuervos JAP preseason friendly match will be played this Friday, June 30, 2017 (8:00 PM Pacific) at the Estadio Municipal de Ensenada. This game will be the first match in Tijuana’s preseason.

Xolos of Tijuana sold several high-profile players during the Liga MX draft. Players like Aviles Hurtado, Guido Rodriguez, and Milton Caraglio left the club which left big holes to fill. Added to the departure of coach Miguel Herrera, Xolos seemed to be in a delicate situation.

Nonetheless, the border team signed coach Eduardo Coudet, and players Gustavo Bou, Enzo Kalinski, Luis Angel Mendoza, Damian Musto, Martin Cuero, Alejandro Donatti, and Matias Aguirregaray. Of these, only Cuero and Mendoza will see playing time against Ensenada.

This game will be interesting not only to see the new coach’s tactics, but also because it will be the first time Tijuana’s major squad will face Cuervos. Xolos will be clear favorites to defeat the Liga Premier squad, yet, this game will serve simply as a warm-up.
