Ex-Midfielder has expressed his desire to return to Rangers next season

Andy Halliday, who recently departed from Rangers, has expressed a desire to return to the club next season.

Halliday was one of the players who played a big role in helping guide the Gers to a third place finish in the Scottish Premier League last season, playing 42 goals in all competitions and scoring five goals and many were surprised when he was allowed to join Azerbaijani side Gabala FC recently.

Halliday moves to the Azerbaijani outfit on a season long loan deal and has added that he will aim to impress in order to return to the Gers next season.

He said, “Hopefully if I do well over in Azerbaijan it will impress the manager enough to play my way into his plans for next year. I hope that it’s not the end of my Rangers career, but only time will tell. I worked very hard to get to Rangers so I certainly won’t be giving up on my place easily.
