This Wednesday, June 28, 2017 (6:00 PM Pacific) Mexico will play Ghana at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas for an international friendly match. Both teams do have a talented base of players and should deliver a contested clash.
Mexico currently has some of its best players participating in 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and will use this match in preparation for the 2017 Gold Cup. The squad playing in this encounter is set to be similar to what Juan Carlos Osorio will use in the 2017 Copa Oro. All the players on the current roster all play in the Liga MX and there are several intriguing players who can be influential in the Copa Oro in July. In the defense, some of the more interesting players include Monterrey’s, Cesar Montes and Club America’s, Carlos Vargas. The midfield is very formidable with players like Erick Gutierrez, Orbelin Pineda, Rodolfo Pizarro and Walter Gael Sandoval while the attack has players like Alan Pulido, Elias Hernandez and Martin Barragan. Mexico will have a tough test in this game but should still be able to pull off the win in Houston.
Ghana is currently preparing and trying to stay in form for the World Cup qualifiers which resume in late August. The Black Stars will play this match against Mexico in Houston and then will play another friendly in the United States against the United States national team. Ghana does carry some players that play domestically and in the MLS but is mostly built of players who play in leagues across Europe. Some of the more exciting players will be Andre Ayew of West Ham United, Daniel Amartey of Leicester City and Thomas Partey of Atletico Madrid. The match should be an intriguing encounter between two formidable sides and should produce a hard-fought game.
