West Ham reportedly ready to splash £24million to sign 26-year-old striker

As The Sun reports, the Hammers are keen on signing Luis Muriel, a highly rated Colombian international who currently plays for Sampdoria.

The highly rated ‘Colombian Ronaldo’ is a talented and versatile attacker, and he could easily cover several different positions in Bilic’s team. He scored 16 goals in the previous season in Serie A, and his deadly instinct in front of goal is a valuable asset.

It seems that West Ham are willing to meet his £24million buy-out clause, and Muriel could move to London Stadium before the end of the summer.

However, he recently signed a new deal with Sampdoria and the management of the club would certainly like to see the 26-year-old stay at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

A host of other clubs are after Luis Muriel, including big-time names such as AS Roma, Inter Milan, Leicester City, and Liverpool.
