According to reports, Leicester City are set to rival West Ham in the race to sign Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho by submitting a £25 million offer.
The 2015/16 Premier League Champions had a disappointing season this past season and will be looking to add in new additions to their squad as they look to rebuild next season.
The 20-year-old Iheanacho struggled for regular playing time this past season and lies below the pecking order behind Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero at City.
Despite his first team chances looking slim ahead of next season though, Iheanacho recently indicated that he is still committed to City, saying, “I’m still a Manchester City player so all the news that’s going on about teams wanting to buy me, I try not to know about that.”
At this stage, a move away from the Etihad Stadium may be best for Iheanacho. He needs to regain confidence on the pitch as well as score goals on a regular basis.
