According to reports, Alvaro Morata joining Manchester United could impact Tottenham’s hopes of luring Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz.
Diaz is said to be keen to move to the North London club as his chances of gaining first team action with the Spanish giants looks to be slim.
During the past season, the 23-year-old Diaz only managed 14 appearances and scored four goals in the process.
However, Real may be reluctant to sell Diaz should Morata’s rumored £78 million move to Manchester United go ahead.
United could push hard to sign Morata considering that the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic is unsettled and also as they are likely to lose out to Chelsea in the race to sign Romelu Lukaku.
Diaz will likely get more game time next season should Morata leave the club. He may also have a better chance of becoming a more prominent player if he opts to remain at Madrid.
