Rangers reportedly have £500,000 bid for attacker rejected

Edinburgh News are saying that the Rangers officials have sent a verbal offer to Hearts worth £500,000, but the bid has been immediately rejected.

Glasgow Rangers had made a first official move in hopes of landing Hearts winger Jamie Walker at Ibrox Stadium.

The creative player is on the wish list of Pedro Caixinha, who would love to add another offensive player to his squad.

However, the Hearts management wants at least £1 million for Walker, who still has a valid contract with the club from Tynecastle until the end of the next season.

The Hearts Player of the Year and Fans Player of the Year last season is the most valuable individual on the team, and the Scottish side want a bigger compensation for their star.

As an advantage for Rangers though, Walker has clearly stated in his previous talks with the Jambos officials, that he is not going to extend the contract and that he wants to leave.

That immediately attracted the attention of Caixinha, who needs more attack-minded players who are capable of creating constant pressure on the opponents back line. It seems that the negotiations for Walker, are just getting started.
