Leeds United striker Marcus Antonsson has revealed that he is the subject of interest from rival clubs of the Whites. After an impressive season in the Swedish top flight during the 2015-16 season, Antonsson joined Leeds last summer.
Antonsson told Swedish newspaper Hallandsposten, “There has been a lot of interest, but it was never up to me on my side. I’m not the kind that gives up and starts to whine and leave. I was in a similar position at Halmstads but got out of it and it has taken me here.”
Antonsson, however failed to settle into life during his first season in the Championship and scored only three goals in all competitions from 21 matches. Only ten of his matches came as starts.
The striker struggled to earn regular first team play due to the phenomenal form of star striker Chris Wood as well as due to injuries and is now likely to be leaving Elland Road this summer.
