Manchester City youngster Bersant Celina midfielder is on the radar of many English clubs, and one of them is Leeds United.
Manager Pep Guardiola reportedly has a plan to keep Celina at the Etihad for the long term, and after one year spent in Holland playing for Twente, 20-year-old Kosovar is likely to spend the next season in Championship.
“The plan is to play in the Championship. I’ll try to find a club. It will be one of them. So, we’ll see,” Celina said to NRK media, back in Denmark.
During the previous month, Bolton Wanderers wanted to loan Celina. And now, Ipswich Town and Leeds United have joined the race, with Manchester City having to choose which club is the best for the talented player to develop.
The Peacocks would get creativity and flair in midfield with the arrival of Celina and they hope to pair the youngster and Chris Wood. This duo would surely present a threat to all Championship teams.
During the last season, Celina appeared 27 times and scored 5 goals for FC Twente, leaving quite a good impression with coach Guardiola as well as many English Championship teams.
