West Ham midfielder hints at an exit this summer

West Ham midfielder Havard Nordveit has indicated that he may return to the Bundesliga following a disappointing first season at the Olympic Stadium, during which he failed to play regularly.

Following five successful years with Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach, Nordveit joined the Hammers last summer.

The 26-year-old Nordveit struggled with injury this past season and failed to settle into life in England as he made only 22 appearances in all competitions, recording one assist in the process.

Whilst talking about his future, Nortveit failed to disclose revealing information but did reveal that he is open to returning to the Bundesliga, saying, “For now I let the speculation lie.

“I still have four years left on my contract with West Ham. Yes I had success in Germany. I will never reject a return to the Bundesliga.”

The Norway international Nordveit has been linked with German clubs Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen.
