Joe Gomez is one of the players targeted by Brendan Rodgers, according to reports from Sports Mole.
Besides the Hoops, Brighton & Hove Albion and Bournemouth also have shown interest in bringing 20-year-old in their respective squads.
Gomez, who was projected to be a part of Liverpool’s defense for a long time, suffered a severe injury back in 2015 by damaging his anterior cruciate ligament.
Since he recovered this January, he played only three times for the Reds, and he will surely want more chances on the field next season. It is still unclear as to what is Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s intention with Gomez regarding a permanent move.
He is a versatile defender who can play on either side, and as well as centre-back, which means that the Hoops would get more depth and talent in their back line.
The Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is a huge fan of Gomez, who was brought on Anfield during his stay, and it is believed that the Northern Irishman himself had a huge role in the defender’s move to Anfield.
