Stuttgart midfielder Alexandru Maxim is nearing a move to Elland Road, and apparently, he will sign the deal with Leeds United in the next several days, according to reports from the Daily Express.
Despite the fact that the Peacocks are without the manager after Garry Monk resigned last month, his wish from the winter transfer window will be brought by Leeds.
During the January transfer window, Garry Monk had a plan to land the 26-year-old midfielder and to strengthen this part of his team. Some of the initial contacts were made, but nothing further than this action happened.
At this moment, it is believed that the negotiations are far more serious than during the prior attempt and that the Romanian native is probably going to change his place of residence.
Maxim will bring consistency and stability to Leeds’ midfield and valuable experience because he played in one of the best leagues in Europe.
Since 2013, he has been with Stuttgart, and played 116 games in Bundesliga, netting 16 goals. So far, nothing is revealed regarding the transfer fee and the details of negotiations are kept hidden.
