Former Leeds United star pleads the Whites to appoint new manager soon

Former Leeds United star Danny Mills has urged his former club to appoint a new manager soon.

Mills said about the managerial situation at Leeds, “Ultimately players will sign for the manager. Yes players will sign for a club and will want to go for financial reasons, locality, size of the club and history, etc. But ultimately they want to know who the manager is.”

The Yorkshire club have been without a manager since Garry Monk shockingly announced that he is resigning last month.

Many fans of the club had wanted Monk to stay on after the club finished in seventh position on the Championship standings this past season, narrowly missing out on a place in the promotion playoffs.

Former Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is currently the bookies favorite to become new manager of the club while Phil Parkinson, Aitor Karanka and Jaap Stam have also been linked with the vacancy.
