Rangers’ new signing admits he is anxious after Ibrox move

New Rangers signing Dalcio has admitted that he is anxious about playing for the club next season but added that he can be a versatile option.

New Gers boss Pedro Caixinha is determined to improve his side ahead of next season and has already recruited veteran Portuguese defender Bruno Alves as well as former Aberdeen captain Ryan Jack.

The 21-year-old Dalcio arrives at Rangers from Portuguese giants Benfica. He spent last season primarily playing for the Benfica B team and has failed to establish himself within the first team.

During an interview with the Glasgow Evening Times, Dalcio admitted to being anxious about playing for his new club but mentioned that he feels that everything will work out well in the end.

He said, “I realise the club has the need to win and the supporters always want the club to win, but I will leave the pressure off the field before I go onto it.

“People have already told me to get used to the rain and the weather, but I am prepared to live with that! I want to improve myself, but the main thing is to help the club and my teammates to get the titles the club needs to win this year.”
