Agent confirms 27-year-old will join Rangers next week

The agent of Carlos Pena has revealed that he expects his client to finalize paperwork by next week which will allow the Mexican international to join Rangers.

Rangers are said to have submitted the 27-year-old Pena’s work permit approach, which was supplemented with a letter from Chivas boss Matias Almeyda to the Department of Employment.

Pena’s agent Salvador Necochea is confident that the player will now have no problems linking up with Rangers next week and said, “Rangers have told us everything is likely to go through. We are not thinking about it being rejected.

“There is no Plan B – if he didn’t get it he would head back to Chivas, but we are sure that won’t be the case.”

Pena is expected to join Bruno Alves and Ryan Jack as new arrivals to Rangers this summer. His fellow Mexican Eduardo Herrera as well as Dalcio and Fabio Cardoso are also expected to join the club.
