Romelu Lukaku has revealed that he knows where he will be playing next season. The Belgian international has been linked with a move away from Everton amid interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Juventus.
The 24-year-old has been silent about his future but addressed the matter on Monday night following Belgium’s friendly international victory over the Czech Republic.
The striker said, “My agent knows what’s going to happen,””I know what I want to do, and whenever something happens, you guys will know.”
Lukaku was on brilliant form this past season, notching 25 goals to help Everton to a seventh place in the Premier League and a place in the Europa League. He refused a new deal with the Toffees in order to achieve his dream of playing in the UEFA Champions League.
He went on to dedicate his country’s win to former Newcastle star Cheik Tiote, who passed away at the age of 30 during a training session in China on Monday. Tiote and Lukaku knew each other as they were at Anderlecht together.
The striker said: “He was there the first year I arrived and I saw him frequently. This is such a shock. He was a really nice guy, a great guy and a leader as well
“Every time I saw him after that and played him in the Premier League, he remembered me as a small kid. It’s devastating for the players of the Ivory Coast and his family and friends. All our thoughts are with them.”
