Winger confirms he will be joining Leeds United

Sporting Lisbon winger Hadi Sacko has published a statement on social media platform Twitter which indicates that he will be returning to Leeds United ahead of next season.

The Whites have reportedly taken advantage of an agreement which they had with Lisbon and will purchase the Frenchman for a fee believed to be in the region of £2 million.

Fans of Leeds are largely divided about the return of Sacko to the fold, with some preferring if he went back to Portugal.

The 23-year-old Sacko moved to the Yorkshire club on a season long loan deal ahead of the 2016-17 season and scored two goals and contributed three assists to help the club to a seventh place finish in the Championship.

According to French outlet France Football, Sacko will sign a three year deal at Elland Road and in the process become Leeds first permanent signing of the summer.
