The Whites have reportedly taken advantage of an agreement which they had with Lisbon and will purchase the Frenchman for a fee believed to be in the region of £2 million.
Fans of Leeds are largely divided about the return of Sacko to the fold, with some preferring if he went back to Portugal.
The 23-year-old Sacko moved to the Yorkshire club on a season long loan deal ahead of the 2016-17 season and scored two goals and contributed three assists to help the club to a seventh place finish in the Championship.
According to French outlet France Football, Sacko will sign a three year deal at Elland Road and in the process become Leeds first permanent signing of the summer.
