Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola delivers warning to Chelsea and Tottenham

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has issued a warning to Chelsea and Tottenham by claiming that his side have what it takes to catch up with the Premier League rivals.

Guardiola was appointed as manager of the Citizens after the departure of Manuel Pellegrini at the end of last season.

The Spanish manager did not enjoy the best first seasons at the Etihad Stadium as he failed to win a major trophy and also finished 15 points behind Premier League Champions Chelsea.

Although the former Barcelona boss admitted that winning the Premier League will be difficult, he added that he feels that his side have what it takes to catch up with the likes of Tottenham and Chelsea and said, “Always the leagues are complicated to win.

“But of course we are going to close the gap between especially Chelsea and Tottenham, trying to be close for the next season.”
