Scottish Premier League Champions Celtic are reportedly one of the clubs that are interested in signing Middlesbrough forward Viktor Fischer.
The 22-year-old Fischer’s future at the Riverside remains uncertain following Boro’s relegation from the English Premiership this past season.
After arriving in England from Ajax for £3.8 million last summer, Fischer failed to score a single goal for Boro this season. The Denmark international is reportedly now a target of clubs in Holland as well as Celtic.
Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is said to be a fan of Fischer, who netted during Ajax’s 2-1 Europa League win over Celtic in 2015.
The Hoops are looking to bolster their midfield as they aim to shine again next season and do well in Europe.
Though Fischer failed to impress during his time at Middlesbrough thus far, he did score 33 goals from 111 appearances for Ajax, which indicates that he has the potential to do well if given the right environment.
