West Ham reportedly eye ambitious move for 27-year-old international goalkeeper

According to reports, West Ham have joined Italian clubs AC Milan and Napoli in the race to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny this summer.

Due to inconsistent form from goalkeepers Darren Randolph and Adrian this season, Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is looking to lure a new goalkeeper to his club to challenge for the first choice position.

Napoli are thought to be in the lead in the race to sign the Poland international Szczesny, however Italian source II Mattino have claimed that AC Milan and West Ham are also monitoring the situation.

In addition to having lots of experience under his belt, the 27-year-old Szczesny was in brilliant form in the Serie A this season for Roma, helping the club to a second place finish.

Arsenal could explore the possibility of bringing back their former first choice keeper to the Emirates, however it is unlikely that Szczesny will be happy to return considering that he will not be assured of first team action.
