Newcastle and Watford battle to sign talented Polish international attacker

Newcastle United are set to do battle with Watford in the race to sign Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki.

Due to Hull’s relegation and interest from top flight clubs, it is likely that he will leave the KCOM Stadium this summer as he looks to extend his stay in the top flight.

Though joining newly promoted Newcastle and playing under former Liverpool and Real Madrid boss Rafa Benitez could be an attractive prospect for the Poland international Grosicki, Watford could have the upper hand in this race.

New Watford boss Marco Silva is actually the person behind bringing Grosicki to English football after luring him from French club Rennes in January.

Grosicki went on to feature regularly for the Tigers during the second half of the season and started 12 of the Tigers’ final 15 games of the season. In the process, the 28-year-old also managed to scoop PFA Fans Premier League Player of the Month award for April.
