Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon has revealed that his side first began setting their sights on treble success in January.
The Bhoys won the treble for the fourth time in 50 years this weekend after defeating Aberdeen 2-1 in the final of the Scottish Cup.
Former Sunderland goalkeeper Gordon said, “We wanted to win everything that we could but to do it undefeated was probably beyond anyone’s expectations, but I remember when we got to the halfway point and went out to our training camp in Dubai that everyone was thinking. This is on, we can do this.”
Brendan Rodgers team were dominating the Scottish football season throughout the season and it certainly came as no surprise that they also became the first side to go through a top flight campaign without tasting defeat since 1899.
