Aston Villa midfielder Mile Jedinak has admitted that leaving Crystal Palace for Villa was a difficult move, though he added that he is confident that his decision was the correct one.
Many were surprised that Jedinak opted to swap Premier League football with Palace for playing in the Championship, especially considering that he was a regular member of the Palace first team.
Explaining the move though, the Australia international said to the Villa official website, “It wasn’t an easy decision to leave Palace but I saw it as another opportunity for myself and my family to move and to go and play for a huge football club.
“I feel right at home, not only working with the boys, the management and staff everyday but also going to Villa Park and being among the fans.”
During the 32-year-old’s spell with Palace, he was a fan favorite and made 132 appearances for the club.
