According to the agent of Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, City will not sanction the striker’s sale to any of the club’s direct rivals such as Tottenham but could allow a sale to Everton.
Iheanacho’s agent said to Owngoal Nigeria, “It’s clear he won’t be sold to a direct title rival for Man City. So when I see the reported interest from Spurs, I know if it becomes official it will be dismissed outrightly, but Everton and West Ham will have to wait and see.”
The 20-year-old played impressively during the 2015-16 season, scoring 8 goals from 26 Premier League appearances but found it difficult to gain regular playing time this season under Pep Guardiola.
He is unlikely to see regular game time anytime soon, with Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus currently competing for the main striker position at the Citizens.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman is reportedly looking for new strikers as he looks for potential replacements for Romelu Lukaku and Iheanacho is reportedly on his radar.
Tottenham are also looking for a new striker to provide support to Harry Kane but it is unlikely that City would sanction a sale to Spurs as they are title rivals.
