This Friday, May 26, 2017 (1:00 AM Pacific) England will play Korea Republic in the U20 FIFA World Cup at the Suwon World Cup Stadium in Suwon, South Korea. Both teams will look for the three points with Korea playing in front of a home crowd and England looking to qualify to the knockout stages.
England is currently in second place with four points in Group A of the competition. The Three Lions have a solid goal differential of three and are almost guaranteed a spot in the next round. The British side started off its campaign with an impressive 3-0 victory over Argentina then tied 1-1 against Guinea. England was unlucky in that encounter against Guinea, being far more dominant than its opposition but only getting a goal by Lewis Cook to show for it. England will be looking for the three points but will have a tough opponent the host nation, Korea Republic.
The Korea Republic has been one of the strongest sides in the competition playing magnificently in front of its home support. The host nation started off the tournament with a 3-0 win against Guinea then had another comfortable win, beating Argentina 2-1. Lee Seung-Woo and Paik Seung-Ho have been among the best players for Korea getting two goals each so far in the group stages. The hosts do not have much to lose in the game, already qualified to the next round but should still have a solid showing being in front of the home crowd. The match should be an entertaining one with two teams who have played an attractive style of soccer in the tournament.
