Championship star drops huge hint at Leeds United move

Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper David Stockdale has dropped a hint on Twitter that he is headed for Leeds United.

Stockdale was a regular in the Seagulls side this season that has won promotion to the Premier League; however after turning down a new contract with his current club, it looks like he will be leaving during the summer.

Stockdale, who is known to be a fan of Leeds, posted a cryptic Tweet stating “Family first,” accompanied with a zip-mouthed emoji. During three years with Brighton, the 31-year-old Stockdale notched 139 appearances for the club.

Stockdale will be a good addition to the Leeds side. Considering that current first choice Rob Green is approaching the end of his career, he will provide much needed competition.

It is baffling though as to why Stockdale has opted to leave Brighton after helping the club to win promotion to the Premier League.
