Everton reportedly preparing £20million swoop for African striker as Lukaku replacement

Everton are reportedly eyeing Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho as a possible replacement for Romelu Lukaku who is expected to be sold during the summer.

Iheanacho may well be open to a move to Goodison Park especially considering that Gabriel Jesus, Nolito and Sergio Aguero all sit above him in the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.

The Nigeria international has made 19 Premier League appearances this season, though only five of those have been as a starter.

The Toffees are said to be willing to fork out £20 million to bring Iheanacho to Merseyside. A deal could be on the cards should City get an offer that they are satisfied with.

It is unlikely that Iheanacho will get regular game time should he remain with City next season. A move to Goodison Park is likely to allow him to play more frequently, which is what he will be desiring at this stage.
