Leicester join Newcastle and Tottenham in the race to sign 24-year-old

According to reports, Leicester City have joined the race to sign Newcastle and Tottenham target Harry Maguire from Hull City.

The 2015/16 Premier League winners are reportedly looking to add younger players to their defence as Robert Huth will be 33 soon, while captain Wes Morgan is also 33 and reportedly a target of Newcastle.

Maguire has been impressive in defence for the Tigers this season and is expected by many to leave the club due to the amount of interest in him from other clubs.

A move to Tottenham is unlikely given the fact that he will likely be used as a backup option and not receive regular game time should he move to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Whether he gets regular game time at Leicester will likely depend on whether Wes Morgan ends up staying at the club. A move to Newcastle would, on paper, fit the 24-year-old the best.
