Everton reportedly ready to sell player

Everton are reportedly, per Liverpool Echo, looking to sell Aiden McGeady during the summer. The 31 year old has no future the club and has been on loan with Preston North End this season.

After joining the Toffee’s in 2014, McGeady failed to establish himself as a regular within the first team and has been shipped out on loan for the past two seasons. He has enjoyed an impressive spell with Preston this season, for whom he has bagged eight goals and also won the club’s Player of the Year award.

The Republic of Ireland international is aware that he does not have a future with Ronald Koeman’s squad and recently himself indicated that he wishes to sign for Preston permanently at the end of the season.

Due to the fact that McGeady still has 12 months left on his current deal with Everton, a sale is very likely to take place during the summer.
