Scottish giants Celtic are reportedly, per The Sun, willing to offer Manchester City £500,000 to keep Partick Roberts on loan for another season.
The England international has been ever-present in the Celtic first team, playing 43 matches in all competitions this season and bagging nine goals in the process.
The 20 year old has become a fan favorite at Celtic, having played a big role in the club’s successes this season. It is understood that he does wish to one day break into the City first team and that Pep Guardiola is planning to take him on City’s tour of America.
Roberts arrived at City in 2015 from Fulham for £12 million. He is reportedly highly rated by Guardiola. Considering that City will look to increase the amount of home grown talent in their first team, there is a good chance that they will bring him back during the summer and he will have to compete for first team action next season.
