Everton reportedly lining up £9m potential Lukaku replacement

According to reports from The Sun, Everton are interested in Sassuolo striker Diego Falcinelli. The 25 year old is currently on loan with relegation threatened club Crotone (Italy), for whom he has performed exceptionally, netting 12 goals from 32 matches.

With Romelu Lukaku set to depart during the summer, there is no doubt that Ronald Koeman will be looking for new strikers to prepare his team for the Europa League, as well as to challenge for a place in the Champions League.

Falcinelli will be a worthwhile buy.  Sassuolo may look to sell during the summer. Should Everton wish to complete the purchase of the Italy international, they will have to fork out around £9 million, which is within their spending capabilities.

In addition to Falcinelli, the Toffee’s have also been linked with a bid for Eupen striker Henry Onyekuru, as they look to prepare for the departure of Lukaku. The club should be able to capture at least one of the two targets.
