According to reports from Portuguese publication Correio da Manha, Everton are considering a swoop for Sporting striker Bas Dost. The 27 year old has been in sensational form this season for his club, scoring 31 goals from 29 appearances in the Portuguese League.
In addition to this, the Dutch international has also bagged two hat-tricks in his past five appearances, with one of them coming against Braga last weekend. The form of the Dost has earned him the attention of the Toffee’s.
Romelu Lukaku is set to depart Koeman’s side during the summer and the club will need to lure quality forwards if they wish to challenge for a place in the Europa League next season and perform well in the Europa League.
Dost would definitely be a good signing for the Merseyside club. He is at the prime of his career and also has a good amount of experience under his belt, which could serve him well in the Premier League.
