Everton reportedly eyeing £25m swoop for Italian Defender

Everton are reportedly eyeing a swoop for AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli, per Irish Mirror. As Phil Jagielka is believed to be considering a move to the MLS and Ramiro Funes Mori proving less than impressive, the Toffee’s will need to add quality defenders to their squad ahead of their quest to be competitive in European football and to challenge for a place in the Champions League next season.

Despite being only 23 years old, Romagnoli has experience having played for than 100 times in the Serie A with former club Roma as well as Milan. Romagnoli currently has three years left on his current deal with Milan. He is a regular first team player, having played 25 matches in the Serie A this season.

It is hard to see Milan parting ways with the Italy international. The wages on offer in the Premier League may be appealing though and Romagnoli is valued at £25 million, so Everton would have to fork over the cash to land this deal.
