West Ham co-Chairman David Gold has admitted that there is no certainly over whether Andy Carroll will be available for the Hammers clash against Tottenham on Friday night.
The 80-year-old wrote on his Twitter page that he “wish he could state with certainty” if Carroll will be available to play against Spurs. Carroll has been out of action since suffering a groin injury against Sunderland two weeks ago.
It also remains to be seen whether Diafra Sakho will be available. The Senegal international had to miss the East London club’s draw with Stoke during the weekend as a result of complications from a back pain.
There is no doubt that Tottenham will go into the encounter on Friday as firm favorites. Considering that they are still attempting to usurp Chelsea at the top of the Premier League standings, they will go all out for a win. The West Ham defence will definitely be tested on the day.
