According to trusted source Claret and Hugh, Diafra Sakho was not in West Ham’s squad which played against Stoke City during the weekend due to a pain in his back.
The Senegal international has had an injury plagued season which has prevented him from living up to expectations. He has only managed four Premier League appearances this season and scored one goal.
The Hammers have had a disappointing season particularly in terms of attack. Sakho as well as Andy Carroll have faced injury setbacks regularly this season, which has definitely had an impact on the team’s attack as they have been short of options.
It has also been reported recently that there were tensions between Sakho and West Ham manager Slaven Bilic.
There is no doubt that the East London club will be looking to sign new forwards during the summer in order to try and resolve their problems in front of goal, with Sakho likely to leave.
