Celtic are interested in signing Cork City striker Sean Maguire according to reports. The 22-year-old has been in sensational form this season, having scored his ninth League goal from 11 games.
Should Brendan Rodgers side wish to lure Maguire, they will not have an easy time as Preston North End and West Ham are also said to be interested.
The Republic of Ireland international was previously on the books of the Hammers after joining them in 2013. During his two year stint, he failed to break into the first team and opted to return to the League of Ireland.
Though the recently committed his future to Cork City, the release fee clause fee of €150,000 is unlikely to put off any bidders as it is considered a bargain in today’s football world.
A move to Celtic would be best for Maguire if he wants to secure first team football on a regular basis while moving up the football ranks.
