According to reports from the Guardian, Newcastle United may be looking to sign Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph during the summer.
Since arriving at the Etihad Stadium from Aston Villa during the summer of 2015, Delph has only managed 23 appearances and may be one of the players who manager Pep Guardiola will be looking to offload during the summer.
The Magpies are also looking to bolster their team in order to be competitive in the Premier League next season and it is believed that Rafa Benitez is looking for a minimum of six new recruits, with a centre midfielder being a priority.
A move for Delph will be good to reignite his career and gain more regular game time. While the 27 year old may have not received sufficient amounts of game time with City he did prove that he is capable of impressing at the highest level during his time with Aston Villa. Should he move to St James Park, he will also provide competition to Jack Colback.
