David Moyes has told the Daily Star that he does not regret becoming Sunderland’s manager. The Black Cats are likely to be relegated at the end of the season and many fans of the team as well as pundits have taken a swipe at Moyes for the club’s poor results this season.
However, Moyes has insisted that he made the right decision my joining the Black Cats. He said, “Sunderland has proved difficult for many managers, not just me. A lot have found this a difficult gig.
“But I have no regrets about taking the job. Not one bit. I’ve really enjoyed it and it’s given me a different experience in management.”
For Sunderland, the relegation will come after ten seasons in the top flight. Even if the club plays in the Championship next season, it is likely that Moyes will continue as manager
Owner Ellis Short has revealed that the board still feels that Moyes is the right person to carry the club forward even if relegation happens.
