Tigres UANL is currently just out of the playoff picture in the Liga MX in ninth place with 19 points. The current Liga MX champions are coming from a devastating 1-0 loss to archrivals, Monterrey. Winning the CCL can be a huge morale boost for Tigres UANL and could propel them to a playoff spot in the Liga MX. Andre-Pierre Gignac and the feline’s attack was shut down in that game against Monterrey proving to still be inconsistent this year. Ricardo Ferretti’s side usually excels in showing up in vital moments and must be in top form for this game. Pachuca has not lost at home since November of 2015 and Tigres UANL will have to play their best to break that impressive streak.
