German side ready to splash £12million to sign Sunderland star

Geman Bundesliga high-flyers RB Leipzig hare reportedly willing to offer £12 million to lure Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

Despite Sunderland likely to be relegated this season, Pickford has been on fine form and is likely to find a new club as he looks to continue playing top flight football. Premier League teams such as Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal are also reportedly interested in the 23-year-old.

Leipzig, who are enjoying an impressive first season in the Bundesliga occupying second position, have emerged as one of the teams that are surprisingly interested in the services of the England international.

Though Leibzig will offer Pickford the prospect of Champions League football, it would be surprising if he does move there.

Everton are said to be willing to offer Pickford £90,000 a week as they look to identify a new first choice shot-stopper after both Joel Robles and Maarten Stekelenburg failed to convince that they are up to the task. He may also wish to remain in the Premier League for the future.
