Steven Gerrard has revealed that he feels Everton youngster Tom Davies will go on to become a superstar.
At only 18 years old, Davies has already established himself as a first team regular in the Toffees side and many predict that a call up to the England national team could be on the cards in the near future.
The Liverpool great said, “I think the one to be excited about at Everton is Tom Davies, who seems to have broken in and stayed in. Terrific footballer, scored a few exciting goals.”
The Liverpool born midfielder has started 13 out of Everton’s last 14 matches and in the process scored two goals and recorded three assists.
Everton are well aware that elite clubs would have taken notice of the form of Davies and hence awarded him a new contract earlier this month which will run until the summer of 2022.
There is no doubt that the youngster is one of the most promising youth players in English football currently.
