Leeds United manager Gary Monk has urged his side to up the ante for their three remaining games of the season after the Yorkshire club fell out of the promotion playoff places in the Championship due to their 1-0 loss to Wolves during the weekend.
Monk said, “I’m 100% confident that they’ll give three massive performances where they let it all go. But we have no time to feel sorry for ourselves. We’ll have a really good week this week”.
The Whites were poor on the night and should have claimed points against Wolves, who are languishing in 16th position on the Championship standings. The loss for Monk’s side allied by Fulham’s 3-1 win over Aston Villa means that the Cottagers have usurped Leeds into sixth position on the standings on goal difference.
For the Whites all is not lost. They face off against 19th placed Burton on Saturday in what will be a golden opportunity to claim three points as they look to finish in the playoff positions.
