Sunderland manager David Moyes has hit back at fans of the struggling Premier League club, who feel that he is not the right man to rebuild the team, by claiming that he is a proven match winner.
The Black Cats have been in poor form this season and are expected to be relegated as they currently boast just 21 points from 32 games in the League.
Unhappy fans of the club made their frustrations at Moyes known by booing during the 2-2 draw with West Ham United on Saturday.
Further boos could also be heard when Wahbi Khazri, who has been overlooked for selection by Moyes for much of the season, scored a goal.
Moyes said, “It’s (the booing) to be expected because me and the team are not doing well. I have to accept it. I just remember to myself that I think I have got the third- or fourth-best win record in the Premier League.”
