Pontus Jansson speaks about potential Leeds exit in the future

Leeds United star Pontus Jansson has admitted that he one day hopes to return to Sweden and play for Malmo FF.

The 26-year-old has been in good form this season for the Whites, who are hoping to gain promotion to the Premiership for the first time since 2004.

Jansson joined Malmo as a youth player in 2006 before leaving the club to sign for Torino in 2014. However he failed to establish himself at the Serie A club and decided to move to the Whites last summer.

The Sweden international has now indicated that he would one day like to return to his boyhood club, possibly to end his career.

“Moving back to Sweden also includes playing in Malmo FF again,” Jansson told Swedish publication Fotbollskanalen, “That’s what I want anyway. We’ll see if Dan [Malmo Sporting Director] has a place for me. I actually write to Danne sometimes, that he may keep a place for me.”
