Everton have reportedly reignited their interest in purchasing Gylfi Sigurdsson from Swansea. The Toffees had tried to sign the Iceland international last summer but saw their advances rejected from Swansea.
Ronald Koeman will be looking to make quality signings during the summer in order to develop a side that will be competitive next season and challenge for trophies as well as a place in the UEFA Champions League.
Sigurdsson has been arguably the best player for Swansea this season, with his club struggling to avoid relegation. He may favor a move to Everton especially as the club are likely to compete in the Europa League next season and also because they are improving under Koeman.
Koeman’s side are expected to have a summer full of transfer activities especially as there is a possibility of Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku being sold. Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose is also reportedly a priority target for the Toffees.
