It remains uncertain whether Christian Atsu will remain a Newcastle United player next season.
Atsu loan deal with the Magpies expires at the end of the season and as yet there has been no indication that he will remain at the club next season despite some promising displays.
When questioned about his future by The Gazette, the Ghana international, who is on loan from Chelsea, indicated that he prefers to not focus on the future, saying, “I am just focused on the coming games. We have a number of games left and we want to win promotion. I am just focusing on that.”
Considering the talent that exists within the Chelsea team, it is difficult to see the 25-year-old getting regular game time for the Blues should he return.
Newcastle fans generally have mixed opinions on him, with some feeling he should stay while others feel that he does not have what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.
