Brendan Galloway has returned to Everton after an unsuccessful loan spell with fellow Premier League club West Brom.
The 21-year-old joined the Baggies on a season long loan deal during the summer. However he failed to impress at the Hawthorns, managing only five appearances, the last of which came during in January during the FA Cup.
He is however not eligible to play for the Everton first team as he is still registered to West Brom, who had to pay £1 million to have him on loan for the season.
In order to keep match fit, he however did play for the Toffee’s under-23 side against Tottenham on Monday and set up the opening goal as David Unsworth’s team claimed a 4-1 win.
Unsworth added, “Brendan’s needed games so we thank Tony to come back in with us and have a few games, which is great.”
There is no doubt however that Galloway’s failure to impress during the loan spell will not help his chances of progressing to Ronald Koeman’s first team.
