Ronald Koeman delivers stern warning to Everton star

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has warned midfield ace Ross Barkley that he will be sold should he not agree to a new deal with the club.

Barkley’s current deal with the Toffees is set to expire at the end of next season and should he not agree to a new deal soon, the club will have to sell him or risk losing him for free.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are clubs that are rumored to be interested in the services of the England international.

Koeman admitted that the club will have to sell should the 23-year-old not agree to a new deal, “We offer him a new contract and then [there are] two possibilities. One, he signs that contract. If he doesn’t sign that contract, then we need to sell the player.”

The fact that Barkley has not signed a new deal as yet indicates that he is obviously weighing up other options.
