Sunderland manager David Moyes has said that it will not take long to rebuild the club if they can maintain a steady financial situation.

The Black Cats are expected to be relegated this season as they are ten points adrift of safety with just seven League matches remaining. Moyes believes that should the club provide sufficient capital to lure new players, the club can be rebuilt.

Despite gaining a lot of criticism has a result of the Black Cats generally poor displays this season, Sunderland owner Ellis Short recently announced that Moyes will remain manager even if the club are relegated.

And the Scot has said that he believes the club can be rebuilt in a short period of time, “I don’t think it would take too long. But a lot would depend on the correct finances.”

In order to convince fans of the club that he is indeed the right man for the job, Moyes will need to secure immediate promotion next season.
