Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye has hailed his Everton manager Ronald Koeman for handing him a second chance in the Premier League.
Gueye was part of the Aston Villa side that were relegated from the Premier League last season but his impressive displays caught the attention of Koeman.
Despite not playing for the Toffee’s early in the year due to international involvement with Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations, Gueye tops the Premier League tackles chart with 115, which is 14 more than Chesea star N’Golo Kante, who occupies second position.
Gueye revealed that he is enjoying working under Koeman and said, “I am enjoying it very much because he helped me to stay in the Premier League and it’s important for a player to give back.
“That’s why I try to do my best on the pitch and help the team and give all I have for Everton.”
